Our client, a global leader in specialist lifting and winching solutions, is seeking an experienced Offshore Winch Technician to support an upcoming offshore project. The successful candidate will act as the company representative offshore, working closely with the end client and vessel personnel to ensure the safe and efficient execution of the scope of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the mobilisation, commissioning, operation and de-mobilisation of hydraulic winching equipment and associated systems.
- Assist with equipment hook-up and functional testing.
- Operate winching equipment during offshore operations in coordination with project personnel.
- Carry out routine daily maintenance and operational checks on associated power units and equipment.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company and client safety procedures.
- Provide on-site technical support and act as the primary offshore representative for the equipment provider.
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:
- Previous offshore experience within a similar technical or operational role.
- Knowledge and experience of hydraulic winching systems and associated equipment.
- Experience supporting offshore installation or pull-in operations.
- Ability to work independently while liaising effectively with offshore teams and client representatives.
- Valid minimum standards for offshore travel including medical certification.
- United Kingdom citizenship (for work permit and visa processing purposes).
Note: the project is scheduled to commence in August for a duration of approximately six weeks.
