Our client, an industry-leading drilling contractor, is seeking experienced Rig Mechanic to join their offshore maintenance team aboard a jack-up drilling unit operating offshore West Africa.
The successful candidate will mobilise immediately to commence a 28-day assignment, followed by two further assignments on a 28 / 28 rotation schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment onboard the unit.
- Carrying out diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs on drilling and auxiliary equipment.
- Supervision and coordination of Assistant Mechanics and third-party contractors where required.
- Conducting routine inspections of equipment, identifying defects, wear or potential failures.
- Ensure accurate completion of maintenance records, work orders and equipment history.
- Active participation in safety meetings, toolbox talks, drills, risk assessments and permit-to-work activities.
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years offshore experience in this role onboard a MODU.
- Demonstrable expertise and knowledge of NOV Drilling Equipment.
- Valid OPITO accredited offshore survival and OEUK-standard medical or equivalent.
- Available for immediate mobilisation.
