We are currently recruiting for an experienced Subsea Supervisor to join our client’s fleet of deepwater drillships. This is a rotational offshore position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance and reliability of all subsea equipment, including the blowout preventer (BOP) system and associated control systems. Working closely with the drilling, marine and technical departments, the Subsea Supervisor ensures that critical well control equipment is maintained to the highest operational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and supervision for the subsea department onboard the drillship.
  • Ensure the safe operation, inspection, testing and maintenance of the BOP stack, control systems, riser systems and associated subsea equipment.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities to maintain equipment reliability and minimize operational downtime.
  • Ensure all subsea operations comply with company procedures, well control standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the Offshore Installation Manager, Drilling Supervisor and onshore subsea support teams to support drilling operations.
  • Supervise subsea technicians and assistant subsea engineers, ensuring competency, training and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, testing documentation and operational reports.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company management systems and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven offshore experience in a subsea supervisory role on a deepwater drillship or similar MODU.
  • Minimum of 3 years operational experience in such a role on-board a drillship or deepwater semi-submersible within the past 5 years.
  • Extensive knowledge of subsea well control equipment, including BOP systems, multiplex control systems and marine riser systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capability in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual environment.
