We are seeking driven individuals looking for an opportunity to start a career in the energy industry. This trainee position offers a structured pathway into an offshore career within the Process and Pipeline Services sector. The role is designed as an entry-level development opportunity, similar to an apprenticeship, providing training and hands-on experience in a specialist offshore service line.

Please note, in order to be considered for this opportunity, you must reside within the Norfolk area. There is a workshop based element to the traineeship, and suitable candidates must therefore live within commuting distance to Great Yarmouth. Candidates who do not will not be considered and should refrain from applying, as we have no other suitable opportunities at this time.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake specialised training delivered by industry-leading experts prior to on-the-job learning.
  • Frequent travel to offshore and onshore work sites at short notice - this is a non-rotational position.
  • Assist with the rigging up, maintenance, operation and rigging down of specialist support equipment.
  • Follow operational procedures and safety protocols at all times.
  • Working as part of a team in a demanding environment adapting to varying operational schedules.

What We Offer:

  • Unique entry point into the offshore industry.
  • Structured training and development in a specialist service line.
  • Opportunity to build a long-term career within Process & Pipeline Services.

Requirements:

  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn in a hands-on technical environment.
  • Comfortable travelling offshore and around the country at short notice without a fixed rotational schedule.
  • Capable of working in a physically demanding environment.
  • A background in a mechanical or technical field is advantageous but not essential.
  • Currently in possession of the minimum certifications required for offshore travel, or the willingness to obtain if accepted:
  • OPITO BOSIET / MIST / OEUK Medical / Shoulder Measurements.
  • Must live within commuting distance of Great Yarmouth.

Who This Role Suits:

This role is for individuals looking to start a career offshore and gain practical experience within the oil and gas sector.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with either a military background or experience in a relevant mechanical / trade discipline such as working with vehicles or plumbing / heating engineers.

However, any candidate who can demonstrate technical aptitude is welcome to apply. What is more important is the right attitude - candidates must be flexible, reliable and willing to mobilise offshore at short notice as operational requirements dictate.

If you are looking to begin a career offshore and develop specialist technical skills in a high-demand sector, we encourage you to apply.

Candidates who do not meet these criteria will not be considered and should refrain from applying, as we have no other suitable opportunities at this time. Attempts to circumvent the pre-screening process by providing incorrect information will not increase your chances of success.
